Megan Fooshee

Attorney at Law

Megan enjoys working with clients to identify business-focused legal solutions to meet their most sophisticated needs. Megan advises clients on a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing and private securities, raising capital, structuring, and helping business owners franchise their Company. Megan’s experience as an entrepreneur allows her to appreciate the underlying business rationale involved in each decision for the transactions in which she is engaged.

 

Megan was named to D Magazine’s list of Best Lawyers Under 40 for 2020, 2021 and 2022. Megan was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2023.

 

Megan is a 7th generation Texan who graduated from Rhodes College and The University of Oklahoma School of Law. She helped launch a start-up, New Avenue Dentistry, with her husband in February 2016 which represented the sale of in 2022. An entrepreneur at heart, she empathizes with the stress of owning a business.  She enjoys coaching volleyball and racing triathlons. She completed her first IronMan 70.1 in 2021.

Jamie Katzen

Having worked in some of the most prestigious Dallas based Trust & Estate practices for over a decade, Jamie T. Katzen has dedicated his career to helping his clients achieve their legacy goals.

Jamie believes that clear and open communication in an attorney-client relationship is essential to effective representation. He strives to be accessible to his clients and ready to discuss their matters on their schedules.

Sol Reifer

Attorney at Law

Sol is of Counsel to Katzen Fooshee, PLLC. He has over 40 years’ experience in probate administration, asset protection planning, and trusts and estate planning law. Sol works with estates that range from the modest to high net worth in either traditional family planning situations or nontraditional family situations (same gender couples and blended families). Sol offers insight into how to avoid intra-family conflicts as well as insulation from future risks of creditors and divorce as part of his multi-generational planning approach. Whether the planning needs are relatively straightforward or require sophisticated solutions tailored to each family's needs, Sol strives to craft an individualized plan for a wide array of clients.

 

Sol has received the designation as an "Accredited Estate Planner" from the National Association of Estate Planners, 1995-2024. He has been selected to 5-Star Wealth Manager in 2010-2024, to the Texas Super Lawyers list in 2011-2024, and to Best Lawyers list in 2024. 

 

He has had numerous articles published in the Dallas Bar Headnotes, Texas Bar Journal and in several national scholarly treatises, such as Tax Ideas and The Review of Taxation of Individuals.  He has served as an Estate Planning Instructor / Adjunct Professor for over 27 years at prominent local universities such as SMU, University of Texas-Dallas, University of Dallas, and University of North Texas.

Lindy Duffney

Paralegal

Lindy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and then obtained her post-baccalaureate certification in Paralegal Studies from Southern Methodist University. In December 2023, she earned her Registered Paralegal® designation from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. She is proud to have been with Katzen Fooshée, PLLC since its inception.

 

Lindy is a proud Past Professional Development Chair of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division where she received the TAPS Scholarship. She has also served on the Board of Directors as the Communications Director, Publications Chair for the DAPA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for the Dallas Area Paralegal Association in which she was awarded the President’s Award in 2021. 

 

She enjoys spending her free time volunteering as a Trustee of The Wendi Atwood Rogers Foundation and as a Public Policy Committee Member with the Junior League of Denver. She is a certified USA Rugby Referee and Coach for youth girls, and enjoys playing rugby on her local women’s team, as well as traveling, drinking wine, and spending time with her husband.

Kelly Schrader

Paralegal

         Kelly graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and, after a lengthy career in Healthcare Staffing, decided to pursue a career in law.  Kelly received her Post-Baccalaureate Paralegal Certification from Southern Methodist University and Core Registered Paralegal® designation from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations in 2021.  Kelly is a member of the Dallas Area Paralegal Association and, in the past, has participated in several areas of the organization, including serving on the Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Committee and its Literature and Publication Sub-Committee. 

 

         Kelly’s passion to serve her community shines through in the various organizations she has become involved in since moving to Dallas in 2012.  As an active member of the Junior League of Dallas for the last eight years, Kelly has spent time volunteering at the Junior League’s various community placements, including The George Bush Library and Museum, The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.   Kelly is a proud member of the Texas Regional Board for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).  As a member of the ADL, Kelly has had the honor of serving on the Committee for Participant Outreach for the ADL’s Annual Walk Against Hate and is a Graduate of the ADL – Glass Leadership Institute.   Additionally, Kelly devotes time to her son’s Elementary School as a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) board member. 


      Kelly is a foodie and novice fashionista who enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, traveling, working out, and reading.   She and her husband prefer to plan their vacations to off-the-beaten-path locations, with the primary qualifications being the food scene and its place relative to a body of water or hiking opportunities.

As a native of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Jennifer has begun and perfected her paralegal skills in prestigious firms. Since 2018, Jennifer has worked her way through the ranks of legal support professionals and applies her extensive estate planning knowledge and experience every day in her role as a paralegal with the firm. 

 

When she is not working diligently with her attorneys and clients, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her chihuahua, Akasha, watching horror movies, and reading.
